I was getting into spearfishing, so I wanted to see if I could model a Hawaiian sling to learn how they are built. I model things I am interested in the mechanics of to learn how they are constructed. Nanshe is a custom Hawaiian sling, which is powered by pulling forward the handle, which creates tension between the rubber band (not shown) and the handle. The rubber band attaches to the hole in the shaft and the two on the handle. Nanshe is deconstructable for ease of transportation, using watertight steel connectors. The shaft is carbon fibre, the connector units are 440C stainless steel, the broadhead is made of titanium, and the handle is made of opaque polycarbonate with a silicone grip debossed with the product's name. The name, Nanshe, is derived from the Mesopotamian goddess of beauty and water, Nanše
